Board Member News:

We would like to announce that our President, Crystal McCurdy has stepped down from her position on the board. We are truly grateful to Crystal who has volunteered her time and has dedicated significant time and energy to help keep our park running smoothly, not only in the past, but the present and future as well. Thank you for all your hard work.

We are pleased to announce that Nathan Regnier has been appointed as President-Elect until our next summer AGM where we can vote as a community to elect him into that role or nominate a new candidate. We are grateful and excited to have Nathan as our President as he will bring his unique talents, expertise and perspectives to our Poplar Beach community.

Board Members Needed: We are now short a board member – if you would like to become a member at large, please express your interest by emailing the board. Any member will have to be officially voted in at our next summer AGM, but we would appreciate any help we can get. These positions are voluntary and our park cannot run without member support and help.

Power Upgrade Update: (full post on Facebook)

The power upgrade is NOT done. Madden is working on installing pedestals and connecting some of the power on our end. We are STILL waiting for SaskPower to get their end moving. The Power Committee is working very hard to get answers from them, but it’s hard to say exactly when they will show up. The committee will keep us updated as they hear more. Madden is still continuing to work on warmer days and has promised us full power by May long weekend and hopefully sooner. We should still be able to be in the campground prior to that, but no guarantees of power. An update will be given in the spring and as any new information becomes available.

Invoices and Boat Compound Fees:

Our treasurer will be sending out our park fee invoices in the next few weeks.  These fees will be due by December 31, 2022.

If you want a spot in the boat compound, please fill in the form that can be found on our website ASAP and send it to the board’s email address (pbcoc135@gmail.com).  This is a first come, first paid service.  A new map will be made this year to accommodate the larger pontoon boats.  Smaller boats will be moved to smaller spots, so no guarantee that you will be in the same spot as previous years.

Thanks for everyone’s help with keeping out of the park during construction. We are all excited about the upcoming camping season. We look forward to seeing everyone in the Spring.
