Park Water Service
Great news everyone! The water service for the park and shower house have now been made operational for the season! Everything went well and it is ready to go. A big shout out to Merv for assisting Kelly and Sheila with this being the first year for them. Now, hopefully the weather will cooperate for the long weekend.
Septic Services
For those who are new to the park, there are two local companies that offer septic service on a regular basis in are area. GCM Septic and A1 Septic. All members have to option to contact anyone they choose and must schedule and arrange payment of this service on your own. Both companies are able to accept etransfer payments. For your convenience, and if you choose to pay for your services by check. The Park Managers will have a drop box set up located by the shower house. Please ensure you put your lot number as well as the name of the septic company on the envelope.
Wild Life in the Park
It has been a busy spring so far with wild life encounters in the Poplar Beach area. From Bobcat (or Lynx) to racoons and badgers. It is very important that we all do are part to not make your lot a destination point for visits! Our wonderful new Park Managers, Kelly and Sheila have created a helpful poster with some tips as well as contact numbers if you need assistance. Please take a moment to review. Click Here
Compost Trailer
A trailer has been once again parked in front of the shower house for our members to place your small branches and leaves into when you are preforming your yard cleanup. Please remember, this trailer is not for household refuse nor for plastic bags. If you have bags of leaves, please empty the bags and take with you. The Park Managers unfortunately have had to remove a few bags already. Thank you all for your cooperation.
Park Gate
There were a few small issues with the park gate within the first few days of operation. These have now been remedied. Please note, with the installation of the new mechanism last fall, you may notice that it appears the gate takes longer to open when leaving the park. We have learned that the new system has a safety feature of a 5-10 second delay when the laser beam is broke to when the gate begins opening.
Looking for Volunteers!
The PBCOC BOD Social Committee Director, Sarah is looking for volunteers to help plan, arrange activities for the Park’s 2022 season! If you are interested in joining Sarah on the Social Committee, please reach out to the Board via email to poplarbeach135@gmail.com and someone will be in touch!
On Behalf of the PBCOC BOD, we wish everyone a happy May long weekend!
